Cultural Dance
ABOUT
At THRIV3, our Cultural Dance and Workshop Program is a celebration of identity, connection, and community. Rooted in the traditions of the Wiradjuri (Wongibong) people, our workshops are designed to preserve, share, and pass on the rich cultural knowledge of First Nations communities through dance, language, art, and storytelling.
We offer engaging and inclusive cultural experiences tailored for schools, youth programs, events, and community organisations. Our program is led by experienced cultural leaders and dancers who guide participants through traditional and contemporary Aboriginal dance forms, connecting them to Country, spirit, and story.
Our workshops can include:
Traditional Aboriginal Dance Performances – ceremonial and community-based dances from Wiradjuri Country.
Contemporary Dance Fusion – blending modern movement with cultural expression.
Cultural Education Sessions – yarning circles, songlines, storytelling, and cultural protocols.
Art and Connection Activities – kangaroo skin mapping, ochre painting, and message stick making.
Interactive Dance Workshops – hands-on learning for schools, youth, and community groups.
Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremonies (on request, led by Elders or cultural authorities).
Our mission is to empower young people, strengthen community connections, and create safe spaces for cultural expression. We honour our Elders and knowledge holders by embedding cultural respect and authenticity into every aspect of our work.
Whether it’s a one-off workshop, a school cultural day, or part of a longer program, THRIV3 is committed to sharing culture the right way — with respect, permission, and pride.
